Saying you have a production company is one thing, saying you have a production company and producing a business card with your name and your company name is something completely different. When you don’t have an actual building for your business a business card is a great way to make you look official.

When your production company first starts off you will want to use every opportunity you can to promote it. If you carry around business cards with you at all times you can pass them along to people you may encounter along the way. Someone you give a card to may not need your services now, but they also may hold on to the card and give you a call when something does come up.

I have gotten a good deal of business from people simply passing my business card on to a friend who was looking for a videographer. Depending on where you live you could be competing against hundreds if not thousands of other production companies. It can be difficult for individuals to sort through them all a friend referral will often go a long way.

We had started chatting and when she found out I had a production company we started talking about video ideas she had for her business. I was able to give her a card, and she gave me a call later on to set up specifics about the project.

Business cards are crucial for having a successful business. Try getting a small box to start and passing them out. You will be amazed at how fast your business starts to grow.
