I shot the movie using a Canon MV890, at night in a one room apartment, and the only light source we used was a 20watts energy server bulb. I edited it using Ulead VideoStudio 8 software. It was a pain doing it. I couldn't get a wide shot of the entire room. Nor could I get the actress to do exactly what I wanted. We spent nearly four hours shooting. I ended up with a lot of unwanted footage. The lighting was also bad, I later found out when I transfered the video to my PC for editing, and I think next time I should use a 100watts bulb. However, ulead is the best software one shooting with miniDV should use. Its video filter feature enabled me to improve the picture quality of the movie. I made the ghost by cutting a face on a hardpaper and fixing it at one end of a cardboard box, then I shone a torch from the other end. I loved the experience and I'll stick with this camera and ulead for the next six short films I plan to make.
