Apple Announces Final Cut Studio 6At NAB this year Apple announced Final Cut Studio 2. Final Cut Studio 2 includes Final Cut Pro 6, Motion 3, Soundtrack Pro 2, Compressor 3, DVD Studio 4, and Apple's new color grading program appropriately named Color. Here's a basic rundown of all the programs included in the upgrade:
Final Cut Pro 6Final Cut Pro 6 allows users to edit in real-time mixing a wide variety of different formats of video as well as video recorded at different frame rates. The program has a new FxPlug for 3rd party filters and transitions, improved audio, and better integration with Motion and the new Apple program, Color. Motion 3Motion is an animated graphics program that allows you to apply camera movements like dolly and truck and add lighting elements as well as view graphics from different viewpoints. Motion 3 has image stabilization, new retiming behaviors, and a new pen tool for keyframe editing. Soundtrack Pro 2Soundtrack 2 provides users with a professional tool for creating soundtracks to go along with their films. Soundtrack has a multi-track interface, professional editing and dialogue tools, and intuitive surround sound. ColorColor is Apple's new professional color grading application. Color allows you to preview your results in real time and render brilliant color quickly. Compressor 3Compressor allows you to export your video into formats for everything from your iPod to HD television at the highest quality possible. DVD Studio 4This is the same version of DVD Studio that is currently available. DVD Studio allows you to burn both SD and HD video projects and create your own interactive menus. |
