The compact camcorder has a variety of different features, making it an ideal choice for an aspiring filmmaker. Sony has also equipped the HDR-HC3 with an “easy” button, making it a wonderful camcorder for beginning camcorder users as well.

Positive Aspects of the HDR-HC3

Sony’s HDR-HC3 gives you the ability record high-definition video with a lightweight compact camcorder. The HDR-HC3 is easy to use, sporting an “easy button” that makes shooting basic situations easy. The camcorder offers a variety of manual controls, and fil options, making it an excellent choice for semi-professional users as well as average consumers.

Negative Aspects of the HDR-HC3

The HDR-HC3 does not have a plug for an external microphone built-in. You can purchase an optional accessory shoe and attach an external mic. The camcorder is also fairly expensive, putting it out of the price range of many consumers.
