Panasonic SDHC HDC-SD9
The Panasonic HDC-SD9 is an AVCHD camcorder and records video onto SDHC cards. The 3CCD camcorder has a 2.7-inch LCD and is going to use Panasonics face-detection technology to let shooters know when they're potential missing a shot. The camcorder has 5.1 channel surround sound, 5 built-in microphones, and is expected t ship in Mach for $799.
Panasonic HDC-HS9 SD/HDD Hybrid Camcorder
The HDC-HS9 has a 60GB hard drive as well as the ability to record onto SDHC cards. The HS9 records video at 1,920 by 1080p and should be available I March for an MSRP of $1099.
Panasonic SDR-H60 HDD Camcorder
The Panasonic SDR-H60 will have a 50x optical zoom, 60GB built-in hard drive, optical image stabilization, and a 2.7-inch LCD.
Panasonic SDR-H40 HDD Camcorder
The Panasonic SDR-H40 will have a 40GB built-in hard drive and a 42x optical zoom. The H40 also has an anti-shock shield that protects the built-in hard drive from losing data if the camcorder is dropped.
Panasonic VDR-D50 DVD Camcorder
The Panasonic D50 is the only DVD camcorder in Panasonics line-up this year. The D50 has a 42x optical zoom. The VDR-D50 is expected to be available in late January 2008 for $349.99.
Panasonic PV-GS90 MiniDV camcorder
The Panasonic D50 is Panasonics only new MiniDV camcorder for 2008. The GS90 has a 42x optical zoom, 200x digital zoom and has an LED light. The Panasonics PV-GS90 is expected to be released in February 2008 for $289.95.
Panasonic SDR-S7
The Panasonic SDR-S7 has a 1/6" CCD, 10 x optical zoom and a 2.7" LCD screen. The camcorder is expected to be released in May 2008 for $299.
Panasonic SDR-SW20
The Panasonic SDR-SW20 has a 1/6" CCD, 10 x optical zoom and a 2.7" LCD screen. The camcorder is waterproof un to a depth of 5 feet and shockproof from 4 feet. The SW20 is expected to be available in February 2008 for $399.
