2007 Sony DVD Camcorder PreviewSony Announces Four New DVD Camcorders for 2007Sony has announced four new DVD camcorders for 2007. All of the new DVD camcorder models are now compatible with three-inch dual layer discs that can double the video recording time from single layer DVD +Rs.
All of the new DVD camcorders feature Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and are compatible with Sonys Bluetooth wireless microphone (ECM-HW1). Sony DCR-DVD508 DVD CamcorderThe DCR-DVD508 features a 3.0 megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor, professional quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens, and a 10x optical and 20x digital zoom. The DCR-DVD508 can capture still images onto a Memory Stick Duo card at a 2848x2136 resolution. Sony DCR-DVD408The DCR-DVD408 has a 2.1 megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor, professional quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens, and a 10x optical and 80x digital zoom. The DCR-DVD408 can capture still images onto a Memory Stick Duo card at a 2304x1728 resolution. Sony DCR-DVD308 DVD CamcorderThe DCR-DVD308 has a 1.0 megapixel Advanced HAD CCD Imager, professional quality CarlZeiss Vario-Tessar Lens, and a 25x optical and 2000x digital zoom. The DCR-DVD308 can capture still images onto a Memory Stick Duo card at a 1152x864 resolution. Sony DVR-DVD108 DVD CamcorderThe DCR-DVD108 has a 1/6 Advanced HAD CCD Imager, professional quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar Lens, and a 40x optical and 2000x digital zoom.
