Definition: Aperture is the lens opening on your camcorder that allows light to be exposed to the CCD which is calculated in f-stops. Many digital camcorders will have a fixed or automatic aperture. In high-end digital camcorders you can set your own aperture manually allowing for more control over your image quality.
