Definition: 24p stands for 24 frames per second progressive. Movie film is typically shot at 24 frames per second. Camcorders will typically record at 29.97fps, but will sometimes have the capability of recording instead at 24p.The “24” refers to the number of frames in each second of video, and the “P” indicates those frames are scanned progressively.
