JVC updated its Picsio line of pocket camcorders with two new additions due this month: the GC-FM2 and the waterproof GC-WP10. Both models offer 1920 x 1080 video recording, 3-inch touch screen displays, Eye Fi card compatibility and 5-megapixel still photo capture.
The new models also feature time-lapse recording, built-in software and support for Apple's iFrame movie format. Both models will record to SDHC cards and support higher capacity SDXC memory as well, for longer recording sessions.
So what sets them apart? Apart from the waterproof function on the WP10, which can descend up to 10 feet underwater, the WP10 also has a built-in MP3 audio recorder and retails for $199. The FM2 has a built-in USB port and retails for $179.
