I've sounded a skeptical note in the past about the virtues of digital camera video modes (at least when we're comparing them to full-blown camcorders). Nevertheless in the spirit of eating crow providing all sides of this great debate, I bring you this news: the final episode of the TV series House was filmed with a Canon 5D Mark II. Greg Yaitanes, the director, said he "loved it" and feels shooting video with a d-SLR is "the future."
Maybe. When it comes to consumers' video needs (not to mention consumer budgets) a camcorder is still the superior choice. At least for now.
