Ritz's Pain Is Your Gain

Ritz Camera, the country’s largest chain of camera specialty stores, is closing over 300 stores across the country as part of its Chapter 11 filing. You know what that means -- cheap camcorders! (And higher unemployment, but let’s not worry about that now.)

Keep in mind that the Ritz Camera website licenses the name Ritz name from the retail store, but it’s not the same company. The Ritz site may not have the same deals as the physical stores being liquidated.

Ritz Cameras also owns Proex, Wolf and Kit Camera stores, and some of them will be closing too. Liquidation sales are expected to run through the spring.
